ACTIVITIES FOR BIGS & LITTLES
  1. Eat lunch with your Little at school.
  2. Go on a sound scavenger hunt with a tape recorder.
  3. Make a collage of your lives with pictures cut from magazines or pictures.
  4. Make giant soap bubbles.
  5. Plan an imaginary vacation.
  6. Roast marshmallows with toothpicks over the flame of a candle.
  7. Learn a simple magic trick and amaze your friends.
  8. Show your Little your high school yearbook picture.
  9. Paint an original T-shirt.
  10. Find all the living things on a one-foot square of grass.
  11. Learn to count to 10 in a foreign language.
  12. Go to football or volleyball game at the high school your Little will attend.
  13. Wash the car.
  14. Feed the birds.
  15. Create a tornado in a bottle; put colored water in a two-liter bottle, connect another bottle to it like an hourglass, turn it over and give it a swirl.
  16. Start a coin or stamp collection.
  17. Read biographies of people who did great things.
  18. Make mini-pizzas using English muffins
  19. Donate old toys and clothes to a community shelter.
  20. Check out a tree identification book from the library and discover which trees grow in your neighborhood.
  21. Using the letters from a big word, see how many smaller words you can create.
  22. Train together and participate in a one-K fun run.
  23. Invite someone who has lived in a foreign country over for dinner and to talk about life in that country.
  24. Teach your Little to use a fire extinguisher.
  25. Order sea monkeys or a Chia pet and watch them grow.
  26. Skip rocks on water.
  27. Speak highly of the people in your life.
  28. Enjoy a fresh coconut or pineapple.
  29. Make a video movie.
  30. Go to a photographer's darkroom and learn how negatives and prints are made.
  31. Visit a farm and milk a cow.

  33. Make your own code with numbers representing letters. Send each other coded messages.
  34. Teach your pet a new trick.
  35. Maintain a scrapbook of all the things you do together. Include ticket stubs, pictures, brochures and other mementos.

  38. Decorate eggs -- not just at Easter.

  53. Tell each other stories. Start by giving the other a starting sequence, such as "I was walking to school the other day and I saw..."
  54. Take an art class together.
  55. Volunteer to build a house with Habitat for Humanity, help people at Special Olympics events for serve Meals on Wheels.
  56. Learn to make homemade root beer or ice cream.
  57. Fly a kite.
  58. Take them with you to vote.
  59. Collect and press leaves or flowers.
  60. Rake leaves.
  61. Build a snowman.
  62. Roast pumpkin seeds.
  63. Plant flower bulbs or plants.
