AFTER THE MATCH
A successful match requires the full support of all parties involved.
The parent or guardian should make sure that the child is prepared and
on time for visits with his or her Big Brother or Big Sister. The case
manager will keep in contact with the parent and volunteer to monitor
the relationship. The case manager will call the parent within two
weeks after the introduction, and then once a month for the first
year, unless it is decided that more contact is needed. After the
first year, the case manager will continue contact with the parent
on a quarterly basis to answer questions and support the match.
